Muslim communities have played a vital role in this project. Faith Matters (www.faith-matters.org) worked with a wide range of Muslim community organisations, chaplains and chaplains’ associations to develop the guidance. Faith Matters also consulted with a range of public institutions, other faith organisations, professional associations and relevant sector bodies.
7 Muslim community organisations (The Muslim Council of Britain, Al-Khoei Foundation, Sufi Muslim Council, Islamic Society of Britain, British Muslim Forum, Muslim Chaplains Association and the Association of Muslim Chaplains in education) have supported the document and contributed to its foreword.
We will continue to work with Muslim communities and others to disseminate this guidance and take this work forward.
